  Hey nice discussion! Anyway I'm always trying to examine these things but clearly not the depth of some of our posters so all I can say is: " hey nice discussion".

  I think the internet with its easy access to all sorts of information has definitely been at play here with all these informed comments. Cheers to free thinkers not stuck in rut!(imposed by government indoctrination thru the public school system to extreme biased in their favor toward the subject of how to run economies.. Self imposed dumbing down of general population to keep them in power and capitalist happy from more business interest/prospects and the plushy life of living off the land at profit$$$ for them and their wealth.

  (NK claims to have full employment, so all the males have a job, even if they have no work to do, and even if their salary is worth very little. But the rules are they must turn up at their office/factory every day, anyway)

  I think that is a very down side unless they are able do some good, which say an imaginative mind might take advantage of and spend time doing research about what interests him and just stumble on to something rather naturally to benefit his species. Could spawn a lot of great thinkers depending on of course the type of government propaganda one has been subjected to.

  I hope the NKs over come adversity and prosper and the US becomes more friendly with them.
  

  I kind a would like to do that. I did it for years because I had enough assets for a decade of more leisure and squandered a good percentage of it doing it. Since the human brain is hard wired to explore sensory input for exploitation which leads to better survival rates for our species, I think such free time could be put good use doing research.

  yes god directs our writings but they're not inspired, so gods directions are staggered and overlapping , so the genuine innocent believing jw has a wonderful life of overlapping bullshit.

  so next time you meet a jw priest ask them what is the difference between being directed and inspired, then i promise you will hear first hand an example of overlapping bull..

  Yes if you engage in a lot of wishful thinking then you can "have your cake and eat it too" be directed by God and their run his Earthly Organization and when things go wrong you can always chalk it up to being mildly and ever so slightly pushed by Jehovah's spirit but the push wasn't hard enough and so you didn't let him lead you in his infinitely delicate way because you got your signals cross and took a right when it should of been a left.

  So by not claiming direct inspiration by God one can claim to be God's Organization but not under strict control of the Deity's direct unmistakable influence just some gentle proding and so everybody's got to be odediance to any rule they make.

  I posted video about the man Karl Marx not about the communist state after all He was brilliant economist, and his ideas(not really read up on the man al that much) offer some sage advice IMO.

  I'm not sure about what form of government is better. I do kind of agree with Plato but I can't find the quote I think it goes something like this: "Governments degrade into Democracy and that the best one could hope for in his day was a benevolent dictatorship".

  To me for Democracy to be good depends on the intelligence of the people in the democracy, because how can the people rule if they don't know anything about the thing they are voting on. Democratic elections in the USA play on the ignorance of the people, myself included and so it's a crap shoot. If intelligent people are making better decisions then that's good but how can one vote beneficially if they know nothing about the subject . I think Plato's government of choice was not a democracy but Aristocracy where the best qualified for ruling were in power.

  i think the problems the us and russia face are mainly ideological.

  the cold war these two countries have been in needs to be stopped and common sense needs to be applied i hope trump can push thing in the right direction and that he has good advisors.

  i'm all for these two major world military powers to put away their differences and find way to work together on common problems they face.. they need to cooperate with each other even in their cyber warfare.

  I agree Trump may make more concessions due being new to the presidency I'm thinking everything could be more 50/50 near the end of his term, a good give and take situation that eventually works equally well for both parties should be the goal of these talks where reasonableness predominates stripped of who's going to be macho man.

  I'm tending towards this being a totally good thing that has rewards for both the US and Russia, as we enter the next decade with the hatchet buried as a history lesson about clashes between the two ideologies.

  I'm hopeful I think the time has come with technology ever increasing for these guys to show us the way into the 21st century.
